Humankind’s hubris

Humans live in sanity

While they are hidden behind insanity

Humans are one of a kind

Idiots seem easy to find

Humans run to hide

To lies, they should not abide

Humans speak in silence

And prosterne in unholy abstinence

Humans scream in the dark

All bite, but where’s the bark?

A man died yesterday

Shot by a unharmed cop

Who’ll benefit from his crime

And watch the tiresome waltz of time

Who will wash idiocy away?

You, me, this poem

Which no one will wear, like a diadem?
